Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten!

Parents and caregivers are the first education providers during the 0-5 early critical years. The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge is a simple (read a book, any book to your child, with the goal of reading 1,000 before kindergarten) and very manageable endeavor.

Parents: You can create an account for yourself first and then you can add additional accounts for each of your children. That way you will have the ability to easily monitor your child's activity without having to login as each child.

How does 1000 Books work?

·   Register Online Here – Parents you can create an account first to easily monitor your children's activity.

·   Track Your Reading – Log every book you read with your child here(Even if it's the same book more than once.)

·  Earn Certificates – Earn a certificate after every 100 books you read.

·   Keep Reading! – Get your child ready to read by reaching 1,000 books before they enter kindergarten.

Put reading first, with 20 minutes a day spent reading to your children.  For the youngest children, this can be spread throughout the day as their attention span is growing!
Make it fun and exciting. Be imaginative.

If you read just 1 book a day, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years, and 1,095 books in just three years!
